Micah Miller, Senior Director

Micah Miller is a Senior Director at MACCO, based out of the Houston, Texas office. With over 15 years of in-depth experience in accounting and financial analytics, Micah specializes in financial planning, analysis, modeling, cost accounting, and process optimization. 

A seasoned professional, he has navigated the full spectrum of accounting roles, from inventory control, AR, and AP to leading teams as Financial Controller and CFO. 

Micah has a deep understanding of complex bankruptcy regulations and compliance. He has fulfilled pivotal financial advisory roles in a wide range of industries, including cryptocurrencies, oil & gas, renewable energy, manufacturing, and insurance, ensuring Chapter 11 bankruptcy compliance.

Micah excels at managing accounting operations, from intricate inter-company reconciliations to generating comprehensive financial statements, operational models, and cash flow projections. His proven ability to identify strategies that boost the bottom line has contributed to his success in both private and publicly-traded companies.

Prior to MACCO, Micah served as a financial controller for an oil and gas services company who filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. He earned his bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in accounting from the University of Houston. He received his CPA at Houston Community College.

Notable Assignments

  • Provided financial advisory assistance to a privately held distressed oil & gas company. Played a key role in resolving a challenging dispute between the company and its secured lender, resulting in the full repayment of the outstanding loan through an asset sale. This allowed for the preservation of sufficient operating cash to facilitate the successful winding down of the company.

  • Served as interim CFO for a distressed oil & gas company with 5 operating rigs. Spearheaded financial and operational restructure to avoid a bankruptcy filing.

  • Consulted with panel chapter 7 trustee,  in a post bankruptcy capacity, to assure financial reporting and  seamless transition in a post conversion chapter 11 case.

  • Post bankruptcy, led the accounting and finance department of a manufacturing company assuring the support and overall success of its confirmed plan.
